Seal spirit
plucked from the fathomless sea
brought to beach here and now
on this shore
on this line
To give birth on this earth
in this intimate place
where the soul land is parted
down this slight skinline gap
Bearing oceans of being
through a mere hair line crack
which has opened through me
between flesh and the spirit
For I fragile human
am the hinge at the heart
the gossamer glue
between tectonic plates
imperceptibly moving
with silent abrasion
in search of consummation
between all that is bound
and the unbound beyond
and the unbound within
And this coitus leaves me quaking
it’s no orgy of communion
for flesh impregnated
breaks open and shatters
and hurled against cliffs
spirit howls with timeless grief
